    The Hunter and the Hare

In which, a hunter, both humble and modest,
fell deeply in love with a beautiful goddess

The goddess danced in the moonlight

   They lived happilyever after

The Hunter and the Hare

There once was a hunter both humble and modest,
who fell deeply in love with a beautiful goddess.

How they met is a tale often told
around cozy fires when nights have turned cold.

The Queen of the rabbits would dance in moonlight
twirling and singing on into the night.

The hunter that morning had shot at a hare,
thus wounded, she ran into woods to her lair.

The hunter did follow according to lore
and found in the forest a very strange door.

When the door was pushed open he stumbled and fell
down a steep hallway as deep as a well.

He landed at a place with some curious bunnies.
They gathered around to study him, he smiled and found this funny.

He saw the rabbit he had chased, looking wounded yet noble and wise.
She transformed into a woman right before his eyes.

Their eyes met, she drew him to her.
He saw her throne and crown.
She handed him the arrow, he bowed and then knelt down.

He offered her his weapons, “I will use them no more.”
That’s when he saw behind her the opening of a door.

The room then filled with rabbits, with music and with laughter.
There is no doubt that all of them lived happily ever after.
